6-Ply Beach/Birch Drum Shells

The Ajax Forte uses a 6-ply Beach/Birch shell construction. Beach contributes warmth and rounded resonance, while Birch adds clarity, attack and projection.

Together, these woods provide:

   Warm, full-bodied tone

   Clear and focused attack

   Balanced sustain and resonance

   Strong projection

   Defined studio response

   Reliable tuning stability

Versatile sound for rock, pop, jazz, indie and more

Responsive feel with plenty of tonal detail

Ajax Forte Drum Kit Sizes

This particular Ajax Forte kit comes in the following four-piece configuration:

   18" Bass Drum

   12" Tom

   14" Floor Tom

This compact shell pack offers a punchy, responsive setup with a comfortable playing feel. The 18" bass drum provides quick response and focused low-end punch, while the 12" tom delivers a clear, versatile voice. The 14" floor tom adds depth and warmth without making the kit feel oversized.

The result is a practical configuration for smaller stages, recording spaces, rehearsals and players who prefer a compact setup with plenty of character.

Optional Ajax Drum Kit Add-Ons

The Ajax Forte can be expanded with the same optional additions:

   Ajax Metasonic Aluminium Snare Drum

   8" Tom

   16" Floor Tom

These add-ons provide extra tonal and setup flexibility while maintaining the distinctive Ajax sound and Black Sparkle appearance.

The 8" tom adds a higher voice for melodic playing, while the 16" additional floor tom offers more depth and low-end variation. The Ajax Metasonic Aluminium snare provides a contrasting metallic tone with clear attack and strong projection and clarity.

Black Sparkle Finish

The Black Sparkle finish gives the Ajax Forte a classic vintage appearance inspired by the golden era of British drum manufacturing.

Its sparkling finish looks striking on stage, in the studio or as part of a carefully curated drum collection. Combined with the Beach/Birch shells, it gives the kit both visual character and a versatile musical voice.
