AJAX Forte Groove 20" Kick - 4 Piece Shell Pack - Black Sparkle Lacquer

Ajax Forte 4-Piece Drum Kit – Groove 20" Kick, w/ 10", 12" & 14" Toms - Black Sparkle Lacquer

Vintage-Inspired Ajax Drums with Versatile Modern Performance.

The Ajax Forte 4-Piece Drum Kit is an intermediate to high-end drum set from the Ajax family, inspired by the classic Ajax drums of the 1950s.

Finished in a timeless Black Sparkle, this kit combines vintage British styling with versatile modern performance. Its larger bass drum configuration delivers a full, powerful sound, making it an excellent choice for live performance, studio recording, rehearsals and drummers who want plenty of low-end presence.

The kit features 6-ply Beach/Birch shells, combining warmth, resonance, focused attack and clear projection. This versatile shell construction provides a balanced tone that remains musical, responsive and powerful across a wide range of playing styles.

6-Ply Beach/Birch Drum Shells

The Ajax Forte uses a 6-ply Beach/Birch shell construction. Beach contributes warmth and rounded resonance, while Birch adds clarity, attack and projection.

Together, these woods provide:

   Warm, full-bodied tone

   Clear and focused attack

   Balanced sustain and resonance

   Strong projection

   Defined studio response

   Reliable tuning stability

A versatile sound for rock, pop, jazz, indie and more

Ajax Forte Drum Kit Sizes

This particular Ajax Forte kit comes in the following four-piece configuration:

   20" Bass Drum

   10" Tom

   12" Tom

   14" Floor Tom

The 20" bass drum provides a balanced combination of punch, depth and quick response. It offers enough low-end presence for rock and modern music while remaining versatile and controlled for studio work.

The 10" and 12" rack toms create a clear, musical tonal range, giving the kit a comfortable spread between pitches. The 14" floor tom adds warmth and depth, completing a compact but flexible setup.

This configuration is ideal for drummers who want the versatility of two rack toms without moving to a larger five-piece kit.

Optional Ajax Drum Kit Add-Ons

The Ajax Forte can be expanded with the same optional additions:

   Ajax Metasonic Aluminium Snare Drum

   8" Tom

   16" Floor Tom

These add-ons provide extra tonal and setup flexibility while maintaining the distinctive Ajax sound and Black Sparkle appearance.

The 8" tom adds a higher voice for melodic playing, while the 16" additional floor tom offers more depth and low-end variation. The Ajax Metasonic Aluminium snare provides a contrasting metallic tone with clear attack and strong projection and clarity.

Black Sparkle Finish

The Black Sparkle finish gives the Ajax Forte a classic vintage appearance inspired by the golden era of British drum manufacturing.

Its sparkling finish looks striking on stage, in the studio or as part of a carefully curated drum collection. Combined with the Beach/Birch shells, it gives the kit both visual character and a versatile musical voice.
